About Leonora Teale
Leonora is a proud Yorkshire lass, hailing from the town with the smelliest water in Europe.
By starlight, Leonora weaves stories for children aged nine plus, about brave girls, boys and horses in the 1800s, with a mythical fantasy twist.
In her writing, Leonora draws upon her awkward childhood, her love of history and her upbringing in the beautiful Georgian town of Harrogate.
She focuses on themes of family belonging, kindness, forgiveness and making the most of what you get in life, even if it’s not what you wanted.
Daybreak changes Leonora into a tea-fuelled muddling Mum of two, and corporate executive.

Leonora’s Background
Leonora Teale has a BA in English and American literature from the University of Manchester.
She lived and worked around the world in her 20s, spending years in Cuba, Spain, China and the USA.
Leonora now lives in West London with her Cuban husband and two children.
When she’s not writing children’s books, Leonora works for an international TV studio.
